This dessert restaurant specializes in classic Asian sweets, focusing on sago, grass jelly, and snack delicacies that deliver both comfort and satisfaction.

The ambiance in Zhao Ji Dessert is casual yet inviting, perfect for families, friends, or solo diners seeking a quick escape from the shopping frenzy. Its location on the first floor makes it easily accessible, adding to its appeal as a convenient spot for a sweet break.

One of the highlights is the Snacks Series, featuring standout items like Takoyaki—crispy, savory octopus-filled balls complemented by a harmonious mix of tangy sauce, mayo, and bonito flakes. The Lobak Chicken rolls showcase a well-seasoned chicken wrapped in a golden beancurd skin, offering a satisfying crunch and rich umami depth. For those after something lighter, the Crinkle Fries provide a familiar yet perfectly executed snack.

The Sago Series embodies the heart of Zhao Ji’s menu. Their sago offerings capture traditional taste profiles, such as Lotus Sago and Coconut Milk Sago, balancing sweetness with a silky texture. The inclusion of fresh mango elevates the sago experience with fruity brightness, while options like Green Bean and Red Bean Soup combine warmth and richness, appealing especially during cooler days or when comfort food is sought.

For a more refreshing palate cleanser, the Grass Jelly Series stands out. The Watermelon Blue Crystal with coconut milk is a uniquely vibrant choice, marrying crisp watermelon notes with creamy smoothness. The classic Grass Jelly itself retains a historical authenticity, providing a familiar taste beloved in many Asian dessert traditions.

First time here, and I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken Rice at this stall. It was absolutely fantastic! The chicken is perfectly crispy, and the sauce is a delightful mix of tangy and sweet. Paired with steaming rice, it’s a satisfying meal. Highly recommend have a try here!

Zhao Ji Desserts is definitely worth a visit! I had the fresh fruit dessert with coconut milk and ice — the mango, watermelon, and honeydew were all very fresh and juicy. The taste was light, refreshing, and not too sweet. It’s the perfect dessert to cool down. The shop is clean, cozy, and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience enjoyable. The portion is a little on the smaller side, but overall the presentation and flavor really make up for it. Even the bottled mineral water is nicely designed and thoughtful. A lovely place for dessert lovers — I’ll come back to try more!

We previously visited the One Utama outlet and decided to try this branch. The space here is slightly smaller. We ordered the chicken wings and Zhao Ji siu mai. The chicken wings were tasty, while the siu mai was just average. We also tried the almond ginger milk. Surprisingly, instead of using almond milk, it was made with crushed almond. We really enjoyed all the desserts we tried today.

Tried the Glutinous Rice with Black Sesame Soup and Milk Custard at Zhao Ji Dessert Shop — both were delicious! The sesame soup was rich and not too sweet, with perfectly chewy glutinous rice. The milk custard was smooth and light. Great traditional desserts

Wide range of desserts to choose from. I had the Pan Mee with chicken wing for snack and it was tasty. Portion was quite small though. The place was quiet and peaceful to have a meal.
